Tips on How to Start Being a Healthier You!

So here is the tea. If you're like me you may find it hard to know where to start when it comes to being a healthier you. So many people seem to be able to jump right into the whole healthy lifestyle without having a plan. It's important when starting on your journey to a healthier life to understand what it all entails. One of the most important things to remember when starting a healthy lifestyle is that results will not be instant. Often times people start to make healthy choices and expect physical results right away but the fact is, it may take a while for physical results to show. Although this may seem disappointing at first it is important to remember that each healthy choice makes you one step closer to a happy and healthy lifestyle. There are many small changes you can make in your life to start you on your healthy lifestyle. Drinking more water, cutting out unnecessary fats and sugars, and exercising for even 30 minutes a day can help your physical and mental state and is a good starting point to a healthy lifestyle!

  1. I completely agree, it is difficult to jumpstart a healthy diet and lifestyle. It definitely takes time and patience, which is something I struggle with, especially as a busy college student! It is sometimes hard to find healthy food on campus to take on the go, which is why I want to reduce my meal plan as much as possible and start meal prepping! Even exercising regularly while eating a not-so-healthy diet will not give you results that you are looking for. It is a constant balance between the 2 and making sure you are getting enough sleep and regulating your mental health as well!

  2. I think that this is a very important point. Most people are looking for that instant fix for their vacation or summer body, but changing a lifestyle takes time when done right. While there are quick fixes, hey don't last. Simply by eating healthier, moving more, and sleeping better an individuals can have a significant impact on their lifestyle. I also think that you made a good point about the small changes having an impact; people look to make big changes but those big changes do not last and are not realistic.
